Peace for your Path...

"peace. it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart." (unknown) http://www.labyrinthwellness.com

a springtime prayer for our planet

"Shower, O heavens, from above,
and let the skies rain down righteousness;
let the earth open, that salvation may sprout forth,
and let it cause righteousness to
spring up also;
I the Lord created it." - Isaiah 45:8

Lately, I have discovered many faith-based organizations active in the social networks that are committed to environmental conservation and protection of animals. This warms my heart, as about a year ago we left a local Christian mega-church that was making fun of environmental concerns right from their pulpit on Sunday morning....

Happily, my family and I have found many other local churches that share our love of the planet. However, this disturbing issue of people of faith taking a "hands-off" attitude toward our precious planet continues to sadden me so deeply.

Please join me in standing up as a person of faith, whatever your faith may be, to advocate for our environment and for the animals who have no voice of their own. Together, we can make a difference and model the biblical charge by God to truly exercise our "dominion" by being good stewards of His creation.

Please....
